The berries of the pepper plant, commonly known as the Piper nigrum, are used to make white pepper. White pepper, on the other hand, is derived from fully matured berries, as opposed to black pepper. After that, the berries are immersed in water to ferment. Finally, the outer shell is peeled away, revealing the interior seed. Some of the tastes are taken since the skin is removed.
